Autumn is coming to an end soon, but Winter is nearly here and I love this time of year sooo much! I had the best Autumn and it’s time to get into the Christmas spirit! Here are 10 reasons why I am excited for Wintertime!
Yes I LOVEEEEE summer and the heat and wearing cute little outfits and sunglasses and catching a tan, BUT I do also love love love the cold crisp weather! Just because you know it’s autumn/winter time and Christmas is round the corner and you can layer up in cosy jumpers and scarves with a nice hot chocolate in your hand!
I have already been making Elliott watch Christmas films with me and yes, I have even made us a list so we can tick them off as we go haha! I also love Hollyoaks at Christmas time, the storylines are always great! Don’t forget Christmas special episodes of shows such as Gavin and Stacey and THEY ARE RELEASING A NEW ONE THIS DECEMBER! I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a tv show in a longgggg time, EEK!
“SNOW IS FALLING, ALL AROUND ME, CHILDREN PLAYING, HAVING FUNNNN”
If you don’t automatically just become super happy and enjoy classic Christmas songs then there is something not right, honestly love them and my boss has already let us play some in work 😛 I can never get tired of them to be honest.
As our local ice rink closed down a few years ago the only one we can go to that’s local is here every November until January and I loved it! I am not the best but I go every year a few times and it’s always so much fun 🙂
Nothing like visiting the Christmas markets for some food or a warm drink in the cold listening to Christmas songs and looking through the cute little trinkets and things they sell! We are planning on going to our town in Bristol, Cardiff and hopefully to Londons winter wonderland this year!
Christmas present shopping
I love buying gifts for other people and trying to make it personal and something that they would love, I also love the look on there faces when opening, especially the children too 🙂 the gift of giving!
Tis the season of layers! Cosy jumpers and cardigans with a warm jacket, scarf hat and gloves! Paired with fluffy socks and boots for the perfect cold winters day.
On the 1st of December is when we put all our Christmas decorations up and the Christmas tree goes up! This year I am back living with my Mum but me and Elliott are going to get us a cute mini tree to go in our room 🙂 All my gothic decor still stays as that’s all year round but I’m a halloween freak so I always make it spooky aswell! Here is my halloween Christmas tree from previous years, it looks so cool!!
How can we forget food! This is the time of year where I don’t mind maybe putting on a few extra pounds and enjoying lots of sweet treats and yummy drinks too! Christmas dinner and Boxing Day food is simply the best, can’t wait!
The most important thing I’m excited for is getting all the family together, we are a super close unit anyway but it’s nice to all spend time under one roof (I’m one of 7 siblings so theres a lot of us!) It’s also mine and Elliotts first Christmas together and it will be so nice waking up to the love of my life on Christmas morning 😀
Until next time
